2013 Favorite Photographs

For the end of year photography recap, I chose 26 images to share which capture memorable moments from 2013.  These are images which connect me to times, places, people and animals from the past year.    Thanks for visiting my blog and here’s to a happy, healthy and fun 2014!

Pepper came into our life in January and has brought us so much joy.  She is a Border Collie, Shepard mix from Big Fluffy Dog Rescue.  Adopting an animal is the gift that keeps on giving.

I volunteered for the Boston Marathon this year at a water station around mile 7 where I took this snapshot of troopers marching to Boston.  A few hours later the bombs went off at the finish line.  Sadly, this day was not just an arduous athletic event for them.  It was a call to duty in the war against domestic terrorism.

David Ortiz inspired Bostonians with his historic quote ‘‘This is our fucking city, and nobody is gonna dictate our freedom. Stay strong.’’
